Alcohol And Drug Policy
JEMAJ GLOBAL RESOURCES recognizes that alcohol or drug abuses by employees will impair their ability to perform properly and will have serious adverse effects on safety, efficiency, and productivity of other employees and the company as a whole.
The misuse of legitimate drugs or the use, possession, distribution, or sale of illicit or prescribed controlled drugs on company business premises is strictly prohibited.
Possession, use, distribution, or sale of alcoholic beverages on company business premises is forbidden.
Employees in need of treatment due to alcohol or drug addiction are encouraged to seek medical treatment.
Any employee taking medication prescribed by a doctor must advise his line manager or master.
Being unfit for work because of use of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited and is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Unannounced testing on employees may be conducted when deemed necessary by the company or where law requires testing. A positive test result or refusal to submit to drug or alcohol test is grounds for disciplinary action.
The company may also conduct unannounced searches for drugs and alcohol on company and business premises.
All employees, contractors and other persons in business premises will be required to comply with the policy restrictions on use, possession and distribution of alcohol and drugs and provisions regarding searches. Those who violate the policy will be removed from the premises and may be denied future access.
